Pat Rabbitte’s visit to Donegal NE

Here are some pictures of Pat Rabbitte’s visit to Donegal NE today and yesterday. We were delighted that, despite the rapidly unfolding events in Dail Eireann this week, Pat made the effort to come to the constituency and formally launch my campaign in the Radisson Hotel last night where we held a fundraising dinner with many local party members and supporters.  Also in attendance was Labour Cllr Martin Farren, Eugene Deering, Labour Party’s North West organiser, and Siobhan McLaughlin, former local Labour Party candidate and my father Paddy Harte, a former TD. The MC on the night was local Labour Party activist, Sean McClafferty from Carrigart.

This morning he visited Highland Radio, did interviews with local press, and also visited St Eunan’s College, where he was given a walkabout of the school by principal Chris Darby and met a CSPE class of young students, who fired plenty of questions at him! He is one of the most capable politicians in Dail Eireann and it was a real vote of confidence that he visited me and my team in Donegal NE on such a busy week
